Oklahoma City ceremony recalls those lost in terror attack
the federal building and killed 168
people two decades ago. They were there to remember the dead and hear
speakers who included
Bill Clinton, who was president at the time, and Oklahoma Gov.
Mary Fallin.
The service was held at the
Oklahoma City National Memorial, which was established where the
Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building once stood. The terror attack that destroyed it was, at the time, the deadliest on U.S. soil.
Timothy McVeigh, an Army veteran with strong anti-government views, was executed for carrying out the bombing. His accomplice,
Terry Nichols, is serving life in prison.
